Zearing News & Country Journal

Zearing News & Country Journal (ISSN: 1554-4346) is a community newsletter published each month by the Zearing Economic Development Corporation (ZEDC). After publishing our community’s newsletter for literally decades, Elaine Good and Vianna Borton took up retirement in mid-2004. After several discussions with community leaders, ZEDC determined that a need for such a publication still existed, and decided to launch a replacement publication.

Our goal with this newsletter to continue many of the traditions established in the Zearing Community Newsletter, but also to introduce new features and provide expanded community information. We wish to inform the residents of Zearing and former residents alike. Quite simply, there’s a lot going on, and we want to be the beacon that spreads the good news.

We provide Zearing News & Country Journal as a community service to all residents with a Zearing address (those with a 50278 zip code). For people living outside the community, we request a $15/year subscription to help defray the cost of first-class postage.
